Fremont Indian State Park and Museum
Building Interstate 70 through Clear Creek Canyon uncovered the largest known Fremont village, and this state park preserves what was found, including pottery, baskets and arrowheads. Trails lead to petroglyphs and pictographs, and the park is an International Dark Sky Park. The museum exhibits are closed for renovation with reopening expected in fall 2026, while the visitor center, gift shop, temporary art gallery and outdoor areas stay open.
