Pioneer Memorial Museum
The Daughters of Utah Pioneers museum just west of the Capitol packs four floors and a carriage house with the belongings of Utah's early settlers, from homemade tools and painted pine furniture to pianos and crystal hauled across the plains. The carriage house holds full-size vehicles, including a Conestoga wagon, a stagecoach and a 1902 fire engine. Admission is free, so it works as an easy weekday stop when you are near Capitol Hill.
