Gifford House Store and Museum (Capitol Reef National Park)

A 1908 farmhouse in Fruita built by Calvin Pendleton and home to the Gifford family from 1928 until Dewey and Nell Gifford sold it to the Park Service in 1969. It shows the plain style of early 1900s rural Utah farm homes, and its converted kitchen sells reproduction utensils and household tools, local quilts and soap, and locally baked fruit pies and homemade ice cream. The Pendleton Barn stands on the same homestead.
