Dinosaur National Monument Quarry Exhibit Hall
The hall is built over a wall of about 1,500 dinosaur bones from the Late Jurassic Morrison Formation, roughly 150 million years old, with eight species still in it, including Stegosaurus and Allosaurus. There are several spots where you can touch real fossils, and other displays cover the small mammals, clams, amphibians, reptiles and plants that lived alongside them. The hall is a short drive from the Quarry Visitor Center, and in summer a free shuttle runs because parking is limited.
