Kanab Visitor Center (BLM, Grand Staircase-Escalante)
The BLM's visitor center for Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, a mile east of the Alternate 89 junction in Kanab. Its exhibits follow a Traces in Time theme on the monument's geology and archaeology, with artifacts in glass cases, and staff can give current weather, road and hiking advice. There is no fee, so it is a sensible first stop before heading into the monument.
