Salt Lake County's planetarium at The Gateway has more than 10,000 square feet of hands-on space exhibits you can wander for free. The shows cost extra: dome films in the Hansen Dome Theatre, big-screen films in the Northrop Grumman IMAX Theatre, and laser shows.
