Camp Floyd / Stagecoach Inn State Park and Museum
The U.S. Army set up Camp Floyd near Fairfield in 1858 and stayed three years before the troops were reassigned for the Civil War. The state park covers the years when soldiers, Mormon pioneers, stagecoach travelers and Pony Express riders met here, with a museum, three historic structures including the Stagecoach Inn, and a cemetery. Kids can do the Junior Ranger program, and the park holds musket and cannon reenactments.
